In his work with nonprofit organizations and associations, he has written thousands of communications for appeals, renewals and acquisitions in every medium.<\/p>\n<p>In his recent post on <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundraisingsuccessmag.com\/blog\/willis-turner-heart-head-heart-vs-head?e=lucy_gower@yahoo.co.uk#\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Fundraising Success<\/i><\/a><\/span>, Turner cites a study done at Carnegie-Melon that looked at people&#8217;s responses between four appeal letters. Guaranteeing they will read it is another. Alison Keys of the blog <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/afundraisersfriend.olhblogspace.com\/2013\/07\/23\/entice-with-your-envelope\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>A Fundraiser&#8217;s Friend<\/i><\/a><\/span> asks, &#8220;What is the most important element in your direct mail package?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What will stop people in their tracks as they sort through their mail breezing through bills, notices and flyers? Is your envelope enticing enough to stand out and pique someone&#8217;s curiosity?
